Newsroom Nyenrode New Business School
Nyenrode New Business School opened in 2006, in cooperation with the University of Westminster, and offers an international Bachelor degree in New Business. Both academic development and professional development are central to the programme: it represents the third path in higher education in the Netherlands that allows students to develop themselves into creative and responsible business men and women. Projects in India, Ethiopia and China and a semester in London contribute to the student’s international ambitions.
On 14 June, Nyenrode New Business School’s (NNBS) talent spotting competition—Talent Days—resumed for the final round, with only a handful of carefully selected participants remaining. These smartly-dressed contestants arrived early and, despite the magnitude of the competition, they remained calm and business-like, the atmosphere amongst them friendly. Having got this far, they knew they were in for a tough time.
Talent Days started back in November 2012 with an aptitude assessment to profile each participant and measure their skills. Next came a workshop delivered by Randy Bootland (lecturer of the modules ‘Business Plan’ and ‘Marketing’ at NNBS) in which contestants learnt how to elaborate on a business plan.
